I am learnign a lot from Eugenia. I went to two museums, which showed a Brazilian artist and I was able to read the titles of the paintings and other information.

I had to postpone class due to a work conflict. We had a good class on the use of suffixes to modify nouns and adjectives.

Today we worked on word choice and phrasing in Brazilian Portuguese. Eugenia is teaching me how to avoid a "sotaque", foreign accent, in my written Portuguese by focusing on phrasing that sounds better to Brazilians.

I had some technical trouble with my computer during our lesson but Eugenia was very patient! I'm very pleased with my lessons with Eugenia, she's teaching me not just the language but about Brazilian culture as well.

Due to the fact that Eugenia is a professor who teaches Portuguese to foreigners, she is skilled at modifying the lesson to my needs. In this case, the homework was a listening comprehension exercise from a Brazilian telenovela. Great lesson.

I'm very pleased with my first lesson with Eugenia. She was very friendly and professional and helped me very much with starting to learn the Portuguese language.

Eugenia incorporated reading practice in Portuguese as part of the lesson. This is helpful. We also dealt with articles for proper geographic nouns, general rules and exceptions.

This was a great lesson with focus on verbs, especially preterite perfect with some Brazilian idioms thrown in to expand my vocabulary.

We have commenced using a text book which contains themes in the area in which I work, agriculture. Eugenia took the time to search for a text in the professional area in which I need to use my Portuguese. Another great session.

For personal reasons I had to suspend my lessons for two months. Eugenia helped me start back up to make up for the lapse of time. A great lesson.

Another great session this one on the use of comparatives and superlatives. Eugenia always modifies the homework and the session according to the areas that she sees require improvement.

Despite the fact that I was quite distracted with another matter, Eugenia did a great job helping me with conversation. Her homework assignments were well tailored to my present skill level.

This lesson included a listening comprehension exercise based on YouTube video. Despite the fact that we have had just 2 sessions, both the homework and the session exercises were well directed to areas in which I need to improve.

Eugenia does an excellent job of adjusting the lesson to my specific needs based on what she observes in the homework sent to her in advance. During the lesson, she uses Skype messaging like a blackboard to supplement the verbal part of the lesson.
