I am an Italian 28-year girl, born near Venice.

I'm currently finishing my PhD program in Modern Greek and I work as teacher of Latin, Ancient Greek and Italian to foregneirs.

Teaching is the activity I love most, together with translating and... cooking! :-)

I have a BA in Classics (Ancient Greek and Latin), a MA in Linguistics and I am currently a PhD candidate. I have worked for years with Modern Greek, that is my passion.

I have been teaching Latin and Ancient Greek since 2004.

I have been teaching Italian to foregneirs since 2008. I hold CEDILS (certificate of teaching Italian as a foreign language).

I have been teaching Modern Greek to Italians since 2009.

My native language is Italian, but my competence of Modern Greek is C2 - I own a certification in Modern Greek language issued by the Modern Greek Language Teaching Centre (Κέντρο Ελληνικής Γλώσσας, επίπεδο Γ2).

Teaching Approach and method, topics and material are decided with the students during the trial lesson and they depend on students' needs, interests and purposes.

Personally, I prefer teaching Italian with the communicative method and concentrating on communicative abilities rather than on grammar rules, but I am always concerned with the needs and individual pecularities of my students.

I try to create an informal and friendly contact with my students, since I prefer my lessons to be enjoyable and relaxed.

For my Latin and Ancient Greek lessons I prefer a mixed method, with more exercises about grammar and reading comprehension (together with translation). In my opinion, communicative method is not adequate for ancient languages, since no one is going to speak or listen to them. However, my experience in teaching modern languages has provided me many ways to make grammar exercises and grammar theory not so boring as one may expect! :-)

Sono una ragazza italiana di 29 anni, nata vicino a Venezia.

Ho appena terminato un Dottorato di Ricerca e insegno nella scuola italiana.

Insegnare è l'attività che mi piace di più, oltre a leggere e... cucinare! :-)

Sono laureata in Lettere Classiche (latino e greco) e ho una laurea specialistica in Linguistica. Nel periodo 2010-2013 ho fatto un dottorato di ricerca in greco moderno. Nel 2013 mi sono abilitata all'insegnamento di latino, greco e materie letterarie nella scuola secondaria.

Dal 2004 insegno privatamente latino e greco.

Dal 2008 insegno italiano a stranieri. Ho insegnato italiano sia in classe (in istituti privati ed enti di formazione) sia in lezioni private, in Italia e in Grecia. Ho una certificazione in didattica dell'italiano a stranieri (Cedils) rilasciata dall'Università Ca'Foscari di Venezia nel 2009.

Dal 2009 insegno privatamente greco moderno a italiani. Anche se la mia lingua madre è l'italiano, ho una competenza di neogreco certificata al livello C2 (certificato di conoscenza della lingua neogreca rilasciato dal Κέντρο Ελληνικής Γλώσσα, επίπεδο Γ2).

L'approccio e il metodo di insegnamento, gli argomenti e il materiale della lezione vengono stabiliti insieme durante la prima lezione di prova, e dipendono dalle esigenze, dalle abitudini e dagli obiettivi dello studente.

Nelle mie lezioni di italiano preferisco seguire il metodo comunicativo: non si parte quindi dalle regole di grammatica ma dalle funzioni comunicative, senza però trascurare la riflessione grammaticale. Il mio obiettivo è quello di aiutare lo studente a migliorare in tutti le abilità comunicative, sia scritte che orali.

Cerco di stabilire un contatto informale e amichevole con i miei studenti, in modo da rendere più piacevole e rilassata la lezione.

Insegnare le lingue straniere mi ha insegnato a rendere più attiva e meno noiosa la riflessione grammaticale anche per le lingue classiche! :-) Imparare il latino e il greco può essere anche divertente: non mi piace dare sfilze di regole da imparare a memoria, preferisco farle scoprire agli studenti e ragionarci insieme

Με λένε Βαλέρια και είμαι Ιταλίδα. Γεννήθηκα κοντά στη Βενετία και είμαι 28 χρονών.

Πρόκειται να τελειώσω φέτος ένα διδακτορικό πρόγραμμα σε Νεοελληνική γλωσσολογία, εντωμεταξύ διδάσκω Λατινικά, Αρχαία Ελληνικά, Νεοελληνικά και Ιταλικά σε ξένους.

Έχω ταξιδέψει πολύ στην Ελλάδα, και για διακοπές και για σπουδές: ήμουν Εράσμους στα Ιωάννινα και παρακολούθησα μαθήματα Ελληνικών στη Θεσσαλονίκη και στην Αθήνα.

Μου αρέσει πολύ να διαβάζω και να μαγειρεύω... εννοείται ότι έχω μια αδυναμία για την παραδοσιακή Ιταλική και Ελληνική κουζίνα!

Είμαι πτυχιούχος στην Κλασσική Φιλολογία (Λατινικά και Αρχαία Ελληνικά) και έκανα μεταπτυχιακό στη Γλωσσολογία.

Δίδάσκω Λατινικά και Αρχαία Ελληνικά εδώ και 7 χρόνια, ενώ διδάσκω Ιταλικά σε ξένους εδώ και 3 χρόνια. Δίδαξα Ιταλικά σε ξένους στην Ελλάδα (σε φροντιστήριο) και στην Ιταλία (σε σχολεία και με ιδιαίτερα μαθήματα).

Έχω μια πιστοποίηση για τη διδασκαλία των Ιταλικών σε ξένους (CEDILS), που χορηγείται από το πανεπιστήμιο Ca' Foscari της Βενετίας.

Αν και η μητρική μου γλώσσα είναι η Ιταλική, το επίπεδό μου γνώσης της Νεοελληνικής γλώσσας είναι το Γ2 = C2 (Πιστοποίηση Ελληνομάθειας που χορηγείται από το Κέντρο Ελληνικής Γλώσσας).

Η διαδακτική μέθοδος, τα θέματα και το υλικό των μαθημάτων διαλέγονται μαζί με το φοιτητή κατά το πρώτο μάθημα και εξαρτώνται από τις ανάγκες, τις συνήθεις και τους σκοπούς του φοιτητή.

Προσωπικά προτιμώ την επικοινωνιακή μέθοδο, δηλαδή να συγκεντρωθούμε στις επικοινωνιακές δεξιότητες παρά στους γραμματικούς κανόνες, αλλά εφαρμόζω τα μαθήματά μου στις προτιμήσεις του φοιτητή.
