About me - English
I am an enthusiastic and focused language teacher with many years business experience who is committed to the development of every student I meet.
I’m passionate about giving people the best possible learning experience and I enjoy working online and in a classroom environment. I relish the challenge of helping people achieve their learning goals and am able to establish a supportive relationship very quickly. I am committed to high standards, good practice, and creating specialised lesson plans.
I'm always engaged in continuous self development, brushing up on theory and learning new things in order to broaden my knowledge and experience and I am passionate about working with people interested in learning a new language because self development inspires me to be the best I can be.
Originally from Bristol in the UK, I moved to Austria in 2008 and currently live in Worgl with my Austrian wife. I have an overall interest in foreign languages, and my favourite hobby is music production where I have achieved international chart success.
I love spending time with my wife and I enjoy most sports including skiing, and mountain biking. I'm always keen to learn about new cultures, and passionate about all things English. I'm also a die-hard house music fan.
Qualifications & Experience
I have a professional degree in teaching English as a foreign language with 3 years experience teaching this subject in Austria. I have also taught many students English online.
After gaining almost 20 years business experience I started teaching English in international companies such as Red Bull, and Sandoz in Austria. I have taught a variety of subjects privately and through Austrian language schools.
I always create specialised courses and learning plans to suit individual needs.
Teaching Approach
I will identify your needs, aims, ability and requirements before our 1st lesson.
Every lesson will have an aim and a purpose as we work towards achieving your learning goals. I will present you with language to learn and practise and optimise lessons with communication, correction, and direction.
Foreign languages should be practised as much as possible to achieve and maintain fluency.
