Maya was very nice and responsive. I liked the format of conversation she set up for the class. Also, I enjoyed the pace of the lesson - it fit me well. I loved the trial lesson and scheduled the next one!

Great lesson. Practiced exactly what I wanted to. Able to gauge the listen to the student.

Good class, Maya. Thank you. Still need to work on subjunctive. But each time seems to get better.

Again I felt is was useful to read an article and then talk about it and answer questions. Answering your questions is good for me to improve my comprehension. Thank you.

Very helpful -- general and work conversation, and reading and talking about articles. Thanks.

Teaching Approach
The classes are fun and interactive.
I use the language learning communicative approach in which the student starts developing his speaking skills since the first class.
During the first class the student and I will have the opportunity to define his learning objectives and each class will be tailored according to the student's needs.
I encourage, I model, I give feedback, I challenge, I praise, I reward as needed. I welcome mistakes since I see them as opportunities to learn. I take advantage of as many chances as possible to provide cultural information to give a context and to enrich the learning as well. I give homework because I know practice produces learning and learning reinforces motivation.
