About me - English
I am Amit from India, someone with passion for teaching and sharing.
I have traveled to many countries and stayed in US for 6 years. I love to share my knowledge and understanding of not only the language but the culture of the country where the language is spoken.
During my stay outside India, I felt that language is not merely a way to communicate but a whole package that reflects on the place where it is spoken, its history, culture and much more. The broader field of education excites me and I regularly take some time out from my schedule to teach different age groups.
The pleasure of sharing the knowledge and the rich heritage behind the language is the main driving force for me.
Qualifications & Experience
I am Commerce and Law Graduate (seriously!!). I teach (but don't practice!) law and business at post-graduate level.
At the same time, I teach languages every evening. These include Hindi, English and Sanskrit, I do it for the sheer love and satisfaction I get from this activity. Hindi is what I speak as my everyday language.
My fluency with the language along with strong grasp over grammar are my key strengths. I have equally good command over English with a good understanding of both American and British accent, which I think is important for the teacher.
Teaching Approach
My teaching approach is quite simple - learning with fun!
Hindi is a fantastic language where you speak what you see/write - no confusion! I'll help you open the door to this wonderful experience and feel the joy that learning a new language brings. We'll start with basic communication and will tailor our session as per your specific needs.
If you are visiting India and want to learn just enough to help you negotiate this chaotic yet sublime country, I'll help you with that, however, if you want to dive deeper, I can hold your hand as long as you want - we'll read Hindi poetry together.
We will use simple day to day situations to start and learn the language as kids learn their native language. We will also learn other language skills depending on what you want out of this!
