Hi! My name's Irina, I'm a Russian native speaker and a teacher of Russian. I'm in my 4th year at The Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, my major is teaching Russian as a foreign language. I'm graduating in a couple of months. I have one year of experience in teaching Russian on Skype. I have had students from the UK, the USA, Japan, Turkey, Germany, Greece, Italy and Spain so far. I can teach in English, partly in Japanese or wholly in Russian.

I offer various services, such as:

1) Free conversation - speaking practice, mistakes correction, and explanations of unclear things.

2) An introductory course for beginners.

3) A reading course - enlarging your vocabulary through reading short stories and arcticles.

4) A pronunciation course.

5) A lesson for studying some particular theme, help with homework, text correction, etc.

Of course, you can ask me for a combined lesson; I'm pretty flexible.

I use a webcam, and I would like to ask you to use a webcam too - it will help me to see whether you understand me or not (I don't really care if your room is tidy or not to be honest). If you don't have one, we can still have a lesson, but plan to buy one, please. I use apps like Google documents which will make our work easy and convenient. I also provide all the books and all the materials you will need.

The method I use depends on student's goals, his/her level and individuality. I try to adapt to each student's learning style, so please make sure you tell me a little about your goals and lesson expectations in your first message. I have experience with different types of classes, such as: free conversation, introductory course for zero level students, studying grammar using textbooks and tests, reading and discussing short stories, speaking practice using jokes in Russian, phonetic course. I prefer to know what the student would like to know beforehand, so that I can prepare exercises, materials and funny stuff and make a nice structured lesson plan.

And, of course, a good teacher must be a lifelong learner, so I'll be continuing to learn new things that will help you in your studies.

Метод, который я использую на уроке, зависит от целей студента, его уровня и индивидуальных особенностей. Так как я веду индивидуальные занятия, я стараюсь как можно лучше подстроиться под желания студента. Пожалуйста, в первом сообщении сообщите, для чего вы изучаете русский язык и чем бы вы хотели заниматься на уроке. Я вела такие уроки, как: чтение и обсуждение рассказов на русском языке, изучение русской грамматики с контролем в виде тестов, языковая практика с использованием анекдотов на русском языке, свободный разговор, фонетический курс, вводный курс для студентов нулевого уровня. Конечно, на каждом уроке необходимо улучшать произношение, пополнять словарный запас, изучать грамматику, но вы можете выбрать, каким видом деятельности вам хочется заниматься больше. А ещё я использую на уроке пальчиковые куклы. Я уверена, вам они понравятся!
