About me - English
I am Vicky Klesoura and I live in Agrinio, a town of Greece.
I am 32 years old and I am not married. I love discovering attractions around my home town or all around my country. I am interested in Greek literature and culture and traditional music and dances. I like spending time close to nature.
Qualifications & Experience
I have a university degree from the National Kapodestrian University of Athens in Greek Philology followed by a post graduate studies in linguistics from the same university.
I have been working as a teacher of ancient and modern Greek language for high school students for the last four years.
Before that I was a teacher of modern Greek language for foreigners from all over the world (adults) living in Greece and have taken part twice in a program of the Greek Government and the European Union focused on lifelong learning. The students of the program were getting prepared to sit exams for a certification of knowledge of the Greek language.
I have a certificate of advanced level in English (Cambridge University).
Teaching Approach
The only prerequisite for a good cooperation is to be willing to learn. I believe that each student is a unique personality having his or her own needs. I am willing to listen to these needs and try to adjust my lessons to them.
The age of the student and the purpose of learning Greek are after all two important factors that determine the teaching method (either emphasizing every day language, grammar or syntax etc.).
Speaking English is not obligatory, but it will help!
