About me - English
I was born in Italy and moved to the States 15 years ago.
I live in Minnesota, I like skiing and running.
Qualifications & Experience
I have a degree in Italian history and culture (Pisa University ITALY), a Master's Degree in Project Management (George Washington University) and a B.A. in Electrical Engineering (Istituto Tecnico Industiale A. Righi ITALY).
I have been teaching Italian for many years to students of different ages and for various scopes, such as: to get students up to speed in order to spend a university semester in Italy, to introduce middle and high school kids to a new language, to get up to speed adults who want to gain a comfortable knowledge when they travel in Italy or to university students who want to become proficient in order to attend an Italian university.
I teach Italian also at the Community Education on a yearly basis.
Teaching Approach
I provide professional customized tutoring with guaranteed results to kids and adults (Age 8 - adult).
I use a creative and effective approach working with the student to pinpoint exactly how to master the subject.
I am a firm believer that language and culture come together and that is the approach I follow. Learning a language is not and cannot be just putting in the right order words and verbs. Every population has developed its own language and its way to express themselves and these two things go together.
