I am a native English speaker from the UK. I offer a premium service as an experienced TOEFL tutor to quickly increase your TOEFL scores. I also help intermediate and above speakers become fluent through organic conversation coaching.

In my spare time I like to travel as much as possible, finding places off the beaten track. I recently toured France on a bicycle covering 600 miles before reaching Pamplona, Spain to enter the Spanish Bull run. I am an active skier always looking for more challenging terrain having tested the Italian, French, Austrian and lately Chilean slopes I am to take on the American mountains soon.

I have plenty of Academic and General English teaching experience after helping 100's of students one-to-one and 1000's in group classes. I have a TEFL/TESOL certificate and have also been a TOEFL, IELTS and FCE tutor.

I started by teaching face to face classes for all ages throughout Santiago, Chile. I went on to tutor 100's of students via multiple language schools and continue to do so while I reside in the US.

I love teaching English. Helping students discover my language is incredibly satisfying. During the first lesson with a student I carefully listen to their objectives and plan future lessons based on specific needs. I am the tutor, but the student is the decision maker!

I design lessons based around the topic of natural conversations. I have accumulated seemingly endless materials which allows an organic flow to the class.

I expose my students to Native spoken transcripts, lectures, videos and other learning materials to enable a rich discussion on the matter. Throughout natural conversing I note areas of weakness that you might not be aware of and then encourage work on this matter in the future lessons.

I particularly enjoy focusing on social science topics and helping students prepare for presentations as public speaking is a specialty of mine.

I also love to broaden one's vocabulary, be it teaching you the best Queen’s English, or letting you in on native slang and idioms. I can even teach cockney rhyming slang if you want to sound like a real Londoner!

After teaching a large variety of people I know the most important factor is motivation to learn. This is the key to continued progression which I make sure is being seen to.
