I grew up in France, in Normandie and decided to move to England three years ago to improve my English and I have been teaching French ever since.

I have always been interested in languages and other cultures. At school I studied literature and languages : English, Spanish and Mandarin.

I am now based in Oxford where I decided to teach from home after working at Alliance Française.

I am very patient, organised and I really enjoy the learning opportunities given by one-to-one tuition.

After my baccalaureate in Literature, I decided to study English and obtained a BA in English Literature, Language and Civilisation in 2011.

I then moved to England to improve my speaking skills. In the meantime I studied French as a Foreign Language at Université d'Artois (distance learning). In 2013 I graduated and I now hold a MA in French as a Foreign Language.

I worked for two years on the Isle of Wight, at Sandown Bay Academy, helping students through their GCSE and A-level exams. I moved to Oxford in 2013 and started working at Alliance Française. I was in charge of small group tuition sessions and private tuition, both for children (from 2) and adults.

After leaving Alliance Française, I decided to become a self employed tutor and work from home.

I believe private tuition is an excellent opportunity to tailor lessons according to a students' needs.

I work on every skill (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and focus more on some of them depending on the students' need.

I use grammar and real documents, such as articles, videos, songs, etc. to provide an effective and useful teaching environment.

I believe learning a language is not just about books, but mostly about living it and using it in a French-speaking environment.

J'ai grandi en France, en Normandie et il y a trois ans j'ai décidé d'emménager en Angleterre pour améliorer mon niveau d'anglais. J'enseigne le français depuis mon arrivée.

J'ai toujours été passionnée par les langues et les autres cultures. A l'école j'ai étudié la littérature et les langues étrangères : anglais, espagnol et mandarin.

Je suis maintenant installée à Oxford où, après avoir travaillé à l'Alliance Française, j'enseigne depuis chez moi.

Après un baccalauréat littérire, j'ai décidé d'étudier l'anglais et j'ai obtenu ma licence en Langue, Littérature et Civilisation anglaise en 2011.

Ensuite j'ai emménagé au Royaume-Uni pour améliorer mon oral. Pendant ce temps là, j'étudiais le français langue étrangère par correspondance (à l'Université d'Artois). En 2013 j'ai obtenu mon master en Français Langue Etrangère.

J'ai travaillé pendant deux ans sur l'île de Wight, à Sandown Bay Academy. J'aidais les étudiants à se préparer pour leurs examens (GCSE et A-level).

J'ai emménagé à Oxford en 2013 pour travailler à l'Alliance Française où je m'occupais d'enseigner en petits groupes et en cours particuliers, aux enfants (à partir de deux ans) et aux adultes.

Après avoir quitté l'Alliance Françase j'ai décidé de continuer à enseigner depuis chez moi.

Je pense que les cours particuliers offrent la possibilité d'adapter les leçons aux besoins des élèves.

Je travaille toutes les compétences du CECR (oral, écrit, compréhension écrite et orale) et je me concentre davantage sur certaines en fonction des demandes des étudiants.

Je me sers beaucoup de la grammaire et de documents authentiques comme les articles de journaux, des vidéos, des chansons, et j'en passe. Cela permet à l'élève d'acquérir une plus large variété de vocabulaire et lui permet d'être plus proche de la culture française.

Je pense qu'étudier une langue ne devrait pas se limiter aux livres et qu'elle devrait nous permettre de découvrir un milieu francophone.
