My name is Patricia and I come from Madrid, Spain. I have been living in Brussels since 2013.

I am easy going and get along with all types of people. I have many interests and abilities, including music, hand-crafts, cinema, food and environment among others. I also love travelling and learning foreign languages and cultures.

I speak Spanish, Spanish Sign Language and English fluently and some French and Dutch.

Qualifications:

- Graduated with a Bachelor in pre-primary teaching by the Autonomous University of Madrid. In 2012 I studied part of my bachelor at the University of Amsterdam with an Erasmus grant.

- Certificate for teaching Spanish by the Instituto Cervantes of Brussels.

- I have also a nursing degree (DUE) and a degree in Spanish Sign Language Interpreter and deaf-blind people guidance.

- Currently, I am studying an Advanced Master in Iberian a South American studies.

Experience:

- 5 years experience of private lessons with adults and children from three years old (including three kids with hearing disability)

My approach is communicative.

One very important key to success with Spanish is regular practice with a native speaker. That’s why having an online tutor is so helpful. During the first lesson with a student I carefully listen their objectives and plan future lessons based on specific needs. I focus on what the student knows and understand and build from there using different kinds of materials and activities.

Soy una persona de trato fácil, me llevo bien con todo tipo de gente. Tengo muchas y diversas habilidades e intereses. Me gusta la música, hacer manualidades, el cine, la cocina, la sostenibilidad y el medio ambiente... También me encanta viajar y aprender otros idiomas y culturas. Hablo español, lengua de signos española e inglés y estoy aprendiendo francés y neerlandés.

Calificaciones:

- Graduada en Educación Infantil por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Becada en 2012 para estudiar en la Universidad de Ámsterdam.

- Certificado de profesor de español como lengua extranjera, Instituto Cervantes, Bruselas.

- También tengo una diplomatura en Enfermería (DUE) y un Ciclo formativo de Grado Superior en Intérprete de Lengua de Signos y Guía-Intérprete de personas sordociegas.

- En la actualidad voy a cursar un Master Avanzado en Estudios Ibéricos e Iberoamericanos.

Experiencia:

- 5 años de experiencia como profesora particular de niños y adultos (incluyendo tres niños con discapacidad auditiva).

Mi método está basado en un enfoque comunicativo. Un punto clave para el éxito en el aprendizaje de español es la práctica regular con una persona nativa. Por eso es tan útil el tutor online.

Durante la primera clase escucho atentamente los objetivos del estudiante y planifico las futuras lecciones en función de las necesidades específicas del alumno. Me centro en lo que el alumno ya conoce y entiende y empleo diferentes materiales y actividades buscando un aprendizaje significativo y constructivista.
