About me - English
My name is Sarah and I have been teaching English and Italian for 20 years.
I love my job and I never get bored and I never lose my temper. I am patient, friendly, very funny. I really like getting to know people from all over the world and learn about their culture. Teaching is an experience to learn. Teaching is having the chance of giving something to other people and having something in return in terms of knowledge and experience.
Qualifications & Experience
I have been teaching for 20 years. I am a TEFL qualified teacher and earned my degree in Translation and Interpreting in 2003.
I taught in private schools in Belgium, Italy and Spain. I held Masterclass for teachers on "Teaching to children through Music and Games" in Belgium, Italy and Spain. I lived in USA, UK, Austria, Germany, France, Belgium.
in 2013 I won the Best Teacher Award among 10 private schools between Italy and Spain.
Teaching Approach
I love to make my student comfortable during my lessons and I want them not to feel afraid of making mistakes. Miles Davis used to say "Do not fear mistakes - there are none. ”. This is exactly the way I teach. Mistakes can be positive and can help us in our learning process.
I offer tailored made lessons, depending on the student's attitude, time and pace. Every student, every human being is unique and I could never teach the same way to all my students. I adjust myself to them, I try to understand their strengths and weaknesses to make my teaching as effective as possible.
