About me - English
I am a 37 year old lady and have been a teacher for over a decade. I can also speak French. I enjoy teaching and I'm extremely patient with my students. I have been teaching English on the phone for seven years now. I am a qualified teacher. I have worked in schools and have taught to children aged between 5 to 16. I have a degree in English and a teacher's Diploma.
On the phone I have worked mostly with adults working in different fields. I have also taught English to university students from different parts of the world.
Teaching is something which comes naturally to me. I enjoy it. Teaching over the phone can be challenging but I feel very comfortable with it. Looking forward to new and enriching experience with yet even more students worldwide.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications: Teacher's Diploma and a Degree in English.
Work Experience:
I have worked in schools (both Primary and secondary) since 2003.
Have worked with a major language Company based in France for the last 7 years. I have taught English over the phone to French, Germans, Spanish, Italians, Indians, African,Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, South Americans and many more.
Teaching Approach
I have come across thousands of students all over the world during my teaching career. They all had different needs and were from different professional background and had different level in English. From my experience I noticed that a lot of the students have learned grammar in their life but they cannot use what they have learned. The spoken part is completely missing. I always ensure that my students have ample practice speaking the language.
I believe that speaking is the best way to practice your grammar and your vocabulary. I do provide pronunciation practice which is very important if someone wants to be understood by other English speakers. Sentence structure is important, so depending on the level of my students, I provide adequate assistance and practice. Since I understand French I can work very well with French having beginner level although I stress upon the use of English language throughout the lesson.
