About me - English
Welcome Everyone!
My name is Eva and I have been working as a language teacher for more than 20 years. I graduated and started my career in Hungary , worked in primary and secondary education and for language schools as well.
In 2008 moved to the UK and got a teaching assistant job which I carried on for 2 years and then changed for public service interpreting but kept my teaching profession active by giving lessons online and face to face for those living nearby. I've been teaching Hungarian in the recent years for adults whose parents moved to the UK in the past . Some of my students are planning to move to Hungary for different reasons and some of them has Hungarian spouses.
I would recommend language learning as a challenge which is always going to keep your mind active. I tailor my lessons individually to my students' need and initially discuss their targets and goals.
Learning a new language is a long term process so hopefully we are going to work together for a while. I can promise to do my best to help you to achieve your dreams.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified as a teacher of Hungarian Grammar and Literature in 1991.
Completed my studies at BDTF in 1999 and graduated as a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language.
Experience:
Primary education for 17 years teaching Hungarian, Russian and English languages.
Language schools and online teaching for 10 years.
Public service interpreting for 3 years.
Teaching Approach
My teaching approach is based on communicative language teaching. Each lesson with me has a part focusing on pronunciation, grammar, conversation and listening but if you want to place emphasis on a certain thing that is also fine. I believe lessons should be fun and should give you the opportunity to get to know Hungarian life and culture as well.
As a bilingual person I understand the logic of both Hungarian and English languages which allows me to help you to understand the structure of the new language.
I won't tell you that learning a language is easy and you will be fluent in 2 months because it's not true. Hungarian is a complex language and takes a long time to acquire it but I will guide you through this journey.
