I am from England and graduated from the University of Liverpool with a degree in Physiology. I enjoy learning foreign languages including French, Spanish and now Portuguese, so I understand what it is like to learn a new language. I have taught English in the UK, Spain and Brazil. I have experience teaching all levels and ages.

My aim as an English teacher is to make you feel comfortable and confident speaking English. We will work as a team and build on your strengths and help you to improve in the areas you do not feel confident with. I am calm, patient, a good listener and with attention to detail. I am currently learning Portuguese so I understand what it is like to learn a foreign language.

I like to have a class which fully immerses the student in English, to allow faster and more effective learning. Using a communicative approach allows for the student to focus whilst enjoying the whole lesson.

Depending on the student's personal aim, I will personalize the class to suit the student's needs. For example if you would like to advance your level of English, or whether you need to prepare for an exam, or for an up coming holiday.
