About me - English
Hi guys , my name is Michael , and I have been living and working in São Paulo , Brasil , for the past 23 years , previously I lived for 30 years in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I´m a very proactive person, seeking to help students from all over the world , I have plenty of experience so I´m sure you wont be disappointed.
Because I was brought up in a multi-language environment I have spoken,since I was born, English and Spanish, and as I mentioned above, have been speaking Brazilian Portuguese for many years.
Qualifications & Experience
My bilingual education took place at Saint Andrews Scotts School, in Olivos, Argentina, where I spent 12 years at school . I took my Cambridge examinations at that institution. While working in Argentina, I gave English classes privately and in some schools.
When I arrived at Brazil, I initially started working in Fedex and also gave classes at Berlitz, in time I also worked in other international companies but always found time to give face to face classes either at schools or private classes.
With time I got to know São Paulo city from back to front, thanks to my sales manager position, and because of been able to visit and know so many companies I specialised in Business English / Spanish.
Currently I provide my "know how" to all type of professionals ,needing to improve their English/Spanish skills by means of Skype classes.
Teaching Approach
My approach is very simple , I offer a 15 or 30 minute trial class to any prospect , so he/she can evaluate me as their future teacher , but at the same time I can also detail out, a plan for that candidate in order to provide him/her what aspects have to be improved. Nevertheless I provide a tailor made class so that the most important needs can be dealt with, in order to improve and overcome, in a short period of time his/her difficulties.
I also like to carry out , "role plays" , in order to put the students in "real " situations that he/she may encounter , in their working environment or in cases of possible job interviews.
