About me

Hello, my name is Anastasia Perisanidou and I was born and raised in Greece. I'm a teacher of primary education, but in reality I've taught students of all ages. A short time ago, I moved to Romania with my husband, where it felt like home instantly, because people show respect for my Greek origin and culture.

As a teacher by profession, I can't but try to spread my knowledge further and more specifically my passion for my native language. What's more, being currently in the situation of learning Romanian as a foreign language, I believe that i'm able to understand better the needs of my students.

Qualifications & Experience

Even before I finished my studies, i was involved in teaching Greek as a foreign language to refugees under the Extended Practice of University of Thessaly in collaboration with the Nongovernmental Organization ARSIS. I graduated from the University of Pedagogy of Thessaly, Volos, Greece in 2010 and since then i worked as a teacher in Greek primary schools, where i had undertaken the difficult and exciting task to include kids with special needs or kids coming from other countries/cultures in the general school.

Teaching Approach

The procedure of teaching or learning a foreign language is always a demanding process, but "where is a will, there is a way!", as my beloved English teacher used to say.

Except for the tools and the teaching methods I use, I always take into consideration the needs of the individual student. Talking about the Greek language, which is thought to be one of the wealthiest with ancient roots and a unique alphabet, it's necessary to combine different approaches and a collection of strategies and learning activities designed to reach the specified goals and achieve the learning outcomes of the teaching and learning processes.
