I'm Sarah, 29 years old. I come from Shenzhen,China. It's a coastal city in the south of China, close to Hong Kong. I'm now in Oregon, USA. My native language is Chinese mandarin, and I can speak very fluent English. English is my second language and language for work.

I have a bachelor's degree, majored in English teaching. I had three years full-time teaching experience. I've also gained very good experience of teaching Chinese when some of my foreign friends turned to me for learning the language.

Since Chinese characters are logograms, the pronunciation and writing are very unique. Learning Chinese is indeed difficult, but there are rules to follow, just as learning any other languages. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner, I can help.

我来自中国大陆，居住在中国南部的海岸城市——深圳，现在美国俄勒冈州。

我的母语是中文，工作语言是英文。

我的大学专业是师范教育，有3年的全职教师经验。

因为身边有很多喜欢中文的外国朋友，我因此也积累了一些教中文的经验。

由于中文是象形文字，有别与英语、法语等语言体系，所以发音和语言规律都非常独特。

学习中文确实比较难，但是也有其规律。

除了中文和英文，我也在学习法语和其他语言，

在学习过程中我会去对比和总结不同语言的规律，这也让我能体会到外国朋友学习中文时的困难，从而更有针对性地教学。

关于发音，我建议一定在语言学习初期同时学习“拼音”，也就是中文的音标。有了“拼音”的能力，也就掌握了很重要的自主学习技能。

关于书写，由于中文是象形文字，发挥想象力的同时更多时候是需要记忆的；有了一定的基础文字的积累后，我会教一些文字规律去记忆和理解结构复杂的文字。
