I am a mother tongue English teacher that enjoys all the wonderful in life. I love to read, write, ski, swim, run and enjoy good cuisine. I am well- travelled and have lived in 4 different countries. I am originally from the UK but have also spent time in Australia and the USA so I familiar with and able to teach different dialects.
I speak fluent Italian and am practising French so I fully understand the difficulties pupils have when studying a new language. I am a conversationalist so I can adapt to a range of topics and am always interested to hear stories about other cultures.
I have 5 years experience teaching children & adults in groups, one-to-one and via Skype. I have taught to every level and to around 20 different nationalities
I am TEFL qualified, and have had extensive specialised training with independent schools (e.g Helen Doron Early Learning). I have attended workshops focused on Business English and have prepared students for exams (KET, PET, FCE, CAMBRIDGE, TRINITY).
All of my lessons are designed to suit the students needs. I am able to easily adapt to the requirements of the pupil and most importantly I want my students to feel comfortable and enjoy the experience. I have a lot of patience and understand when it is difficult to produce, pronounce of express something without having the right vocabulary. Through experience I am empathetic and able to realise struggles and coach the student into having the confidence to speak and understand at a high level.
