Hi! I'm Silvana, from Argentina though I've been living in Paris for almost ten years. I'm a curious, energetic person that enjoys life to the most. I love traveling around the world and meeting people, I adore learning languages (right now, I'm working on my German and Arabic), playing percussion instruments, going to as many concerts as I can and always having a book in my hands. Oh, and I'm an enthusiastic bike rider, I gave up public transport a couple of years a go and happy on two wheels since then.
I've been a language teacher for over 15 years. In Argentina I used to teach French (I'm bilingual after so many years in France). In France I'm a Spanish teacher at university, international organisations and business schools, as well as having private students.
I studied language and literature, with a major in Classical languages and Didactics and I did a Diploma of Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I'm trained as well in English as a Foreign Language. Basically, I love teaching and I like to think of myself as quite a resourceful one.
My personal approach is communicative and dynamic. I use real texts, literature, videos and recordings. I enjoy being a tool for students not just to learn a language in terms of grammar and vocabulary, but to get to know the country's culture, music, politics, etc. For me it makes no sense to teach a langue deprived from its context. A language is the people the speaks it, their history, their culture. I'd love to help you broaden your horizons by learning a new language!
