About me - English
Hello! My name is Daniel.
I'm from the United States of America. I grew up in Montana, one of the most beautiful places in the world! Montana is famous for its natural beauty - mountains, rivers, wildlife, and most notably, Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks.
I graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana with a degree in psychology. Then, I accepted a teaching position in Kumamoto, Japan where I taught English as a Second Language for 2 years. When I returned to the US, I moved to Seattle, WA where I earned a Master's certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from Seattle University - one of the best schools in the Northwest U.S. I spent two years teaching ESL to immigrants and refugees while living in Seattle, WA's Chinatown/International District. I went on to become a professional in the field of investment management where I worked for 7 years. Finally, I decided to retire and move to Hawaii, where I lived in a VW camper van for more than a year. I recently returned from a month long trip to SouthEast Asia where I visited Cambodia and Thailand.
I'm looking forward to helping you learn. I spent 3 years studying Spanish and many more learning Japanese, so I know what it's like to learn another language. I love to study language and can understand how challenging it can be as a non-native speaker. I am a very patient person and a good listener too, so I can customize the learning process to fit your needs.
I hope that you'll join me in learning English and I hope you're excited for the opportunity!
