I’m Spanish and was born in the Canary Islands, a little archipelago close to West Africa. However, since I was 17 I have moved several times and lived in different places (Montevideo in Uruguay, Cork in Ireland or Bakau in Gambia, to name a few) and at the moment I’m living in an enchanting city: Barcelona :-) As you can see, I love travelling and living abroad. I also love reading, writing, music, cinema, arts in general, history, anthropology, learning new languages and teaching, of course. What I like most about teaching is that it allows me to meet new people from all over the world and to learn about their cultures and their languages.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting and have just completed a master’s degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have experience both as a translator and proofreader and as a teacher. I have worked with adults, teenagers and children either individually or in groups. Now my new challenge is to get to more people from different countries thank to this platform (so exciting!)
I have tried different approaches since I started tutoring and nowadays I prefer to apply the communicative method, emphasising interaction and basing lessons on students’ needs, preferences and level. This way, lessons are tailor-made accordingly. Contact me for a trial lesson and let me know your level and your objectives so we can work from there. I look forward to getting to know you! See you soon! ;-)
She has a great personality and you feel most at ease learning Spanish with her. She shrewdly spots your errors and helps you improve whilst also complimenting you on your strengths. I surely recommend her for learning Spanish.
