About me - English
Hi, my name is Maria Lucrezia but everyone calls me Marilu'. I'm Italian from Molfetta which is in the South of Italy.
I studied at Pescara "D'Annunzio University" where I completed my degree as an Interpreter and Translator and consequently I gained a lot of experience abroad. I studied Spanish in Spain and English in the U.S.A. Moreover I have been in the UK since the 30 Dicember 2015. In August I took the PTTLS Certification and I started to teach Italian. Teaching Italian is not only a job for me but it is a passion. In addition, through teaching I will help you to discover the authentic Italy.

Teaching Approach
First I have a chat with my students to understand their needs and their knowledge of Italian.
I also like to know something about their interests, hobbies because I try to adapt the material and the topic to my students' interests. I believe that if you start from something that you really like it is easier to learn. After that I show my plan and we discuss it.
My lessons are "real". I try to introduce some info about the culture, cuisines, places to visit etc. I'm from the South of Italy so often I speak about Puglia that is still little known. I've previous experience in Tourism so I can also give some suggestions about travels.
When I teach I use many different resources (videos, workbooks, interactive questionnaires) which really help learners and make the lessons really enjoyable.
