About me - English
My name is Kevin Gowan and I am from North Carolina, USA. Teaching and learning languages is my passion along with traveling. I have lived in Spain, Colombia, Ecuador, Italy, Germany and China. In my free time I like to cook, meet up with friends, play sports, listen to music, and learn languages.
I speak several languages:
English: Native speaker
Spanish: Advanced C1/C2
Italian: Upper-intermediate B2
Portuguese: Intermediate B1

Qualifications & Experience
I have:
- a Master's in Teaching English as a Second Language
-the Cambridge CELTA
- a Bachelor's in Mathematics
I have been teaching English for the past 7 years in a wide array of settings. I have years of experience teaching Academic English (university/university prep), Business English, exam prep (Cambridge exams, TOEFL, IELTS), and General English to learners of all levels and ages.
Teaching Approach
My classes are dynamic, fast-paced, and communicative. You will use the language, not only learn it. Each lesson will be designed to meet your goals and needs (we will discuss these before the lessons start). Be prepared to improve all four skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) while improving your grammar and pronunciation and expanding your vocabulary.
