My name is Marco De Biasio, I am an Italian teacher who has worked for over fifteen years in schools, colleges and universities in the Domonican Republic, Guatemala, England and Brazil. From September 2016 I have been working as Italian and Spanish teacher at the YouDynamic School of POrto Alegre.

I hold a BA University degree in Foreign Languages and Literature obtained at the University Ca' Foscari of Venice and the ITALS Master’s Degree in Teaching and promotion of the Italian language and culture to foreigners. They have been both recognised by NARIC UK.

I also have a Master of Science in Education achieved at Birkbeck, University of London.

In 2008 I published "Mosaico Italia" a book on Italian Language and Culture that can be used with students with an Intermediate level of Italian (level B1 of the Common European Reference for Languages).

In 2015 I published Preparazione al GCSE in Italian, Preparing for the General Certificate of Secondary Education in Italian, book aiming to prepare students in the United Kingdom to obtain good grades in the GCSE Italian examination.

My teaching style focuses very much on the outcomes my students wish to achieve by improving their Italian, be they grammatical, written or conversational. I am dedicated to helping my students learn and improve their Italian in an atmosphere that encourages interaction, listening, feedback and empathy. Above all, I like to make the process of learning Italian a fun experience that enriches my students' personal and professional lives through a sense of achievement.

I favour active communication by which students can learn Italian more spontaneously interacting with me in realistic situations of daily life involving themes as free time, work, food, tourism, school and Universities etc.

I can personalise the teaching according to the characteristics and needs of every single student so that he or she is always motivated to learn.

mi chiamo Marco De Biasio, sono un professore di italiano e spagnolo attualmente operativo presso la scuola YouDynamic di Porto Alegre. Sono insegnante dal 2001 e ho lavorato in Repubblica Dominicana, Guatemala, Regno Unito e Brasile.

In precedenza avevo svolto attivita' docente al Sixth Form College di Solihull. in Inghilterra. In quel periodo ho insegnato italiano anche alla Leicester University.

Dopo aver insegnato italiano per otto anni presso l'Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Citta' del Guatemala, dal 2010 al 2014 ho insegnato presso la scuola Vivere l'Italiano e la Westminster Tutors di Londra.

Sono in possesso di una laurea in Lingua e Letterature Straniere conseguita all'Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia e sono altresì titolare del Master Itals in glottodidattica dell'italiano a stranieri. A Londra ho conseguito un Master of Science in Education presso l'ateneo di Birkbeck, University of London.

Sono autore del libro di testo Mosaico Italia e nel 2015 ho pubblicato il volume destinato a studenti britannici per la preparazione dell'esame GCSE in Italian.

Nelle mie lezioni tendo a favorire la comunicazione attiva calata in un contesto reale legato alla quotidianita'. In questo modo l'alunno puo' imparare la lingua in modo pratico e diretto interagendo con un parlante nativo negli ambiti piu' comuni come il turismo, il lavoro, la cucina, lo sport etc. Dialogando con il tutor, lo studente e' stimolato a parlare fin da subito in modo costante esprimendo i propri gusti e punti di vista.

Sono ben cosciente delle caratteristiche psicologiche di ciascun allievo sono in grado di personalizzare l'insegnamento secondo le peculiarita' e i bisogni di ciascuno in modo tale da mantenere alta la motivazione a imparare.
