My name is Lauren. I was born in Argentina, and moved to the States when I was 13 years old. I am 23 years old at the moment.

One of my greatest passions is traveling. I have lived in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and the United States. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to travel and live in many countries, which helps me appreciate different cultures and languages.

I love communicating with people from all over the world, especially when I am able to help them learn another language.

I just recently graduated from the University of California, Davis, where I majored in English and Economics. I also have my TESOL certification.

I begun tutoring students while I was in High School, helping mostly ESL students with their assignments, and helping other students with different subjects. I also tutored students while I attended University. I was part of the Study Abroad program at UCD, and I moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina to study at UBA (Universidad de Bs. As.).

While I was living and studying in Argentina, I worked for an English Institute, teaching students of all different levels, from beginner to advanced, and I also had different types of classes: one-on-one, group, conversational, and reading comprehension.

I believe that the teacher should adapt to the student’s needs, so my method of teaching is which ever one you would find more helpful; whether it is reading and writing, conversations, fill ins or visual learning.

As a teacher, I like to set time lines with the student, so that we can always know what to expect from the next class, and also track the progress from the beginning.

Mi nombre es Lauren. Nací en Argentina, y me mude a los Estados Unidos cuando tenia 13 anos. En este momento tengo 23 anos.

Uno de mis mayores intereses es viajar. He vivido en Argentina, Brasil, Chile, México y Los Estados Unidos. Me siento muy agradecida de haber tenido la oportunidad de viajar y vivir en tantos países diferentes, porque esto me ha Ensenada a apreciar diferentes culturas e idioma.

Me encanta comunicarme con gente de todas partes del mundo, especialmente cuando yo puedo ayudarles a aprender otro idioma.

Me acabo de graduar de la Universidad de California, Davis con títulos en Ingles y Economía. También tengo mi certificado de TESOL.

Comencé ensenando a estudiantes desde que yo iba a la secundaria. La mayoría de los alumnos que ayudaba eran parte del grupo de ELS (Ingles como Segundo idioma). También ayudaba a estudiantes con otras materias. Cuando empece la Universidad, trabaje como tutora también. Yo fui un estudiante de intercambio, y me mude a Buenos Aires, Argentina para estudiar en la Universidad de Bs. As.

Mientras estudiaba y vivía en Argentina, trabaje para un Instituto de Ingles. Allí, ensene a alumnos de deferentes niveles, desde principiantes hasta avanzados. Mis clases eran todas diferentes, algunas eran solo con un alumno, otras en grupo, clases de lectura y escritura, conversación y compresión oral.

Yo creo que el maestro debe adaptarse a la necesidad del alumno, es por eso que mi método de enseñanza es cualquiera que el alumno encuentre mas fácil, ya sea leer y escribir, conversar, completar tareas o tareas visuales.

Como profesora, me gusta crear goles con los alumnos, para que siempre sepamos los dos que esperar de la próxima clase, y también tener una lista del progreso que hemos hecho.
