My days could be filled with travel, art and learning, and I would still crave more. I have had the luck to live in Canada, Romania, England, USA and Belgium but now am back home, in Toronto.

I have been a teacher for 6 years and it has been a wonderful journey. I worked as a teacher in Canada and England with students of ages 4 to 30.

I have classroom teaching experience, as well as 1 to 1 tutoring and mentoring experience. I have been working with successful ESL programs that are helping students improve their English and become more successful at school or work.

I have been teaching grammar, sentence structure, phonetics and conversation to various aged groups to help them improve both oral and written skills.

Teaching is like the proverb: Teach a man how to fish, and he will have food for a lifetime. I like to coach my students into becoming life long learners.

Every student should complete a FOR-learning assessment, so I can find out what you know, and what you would like to learn.

My lessons always start with 2 objectives. At the end of the lesson we will check that you met your 2 objectives.

I like my lessons to be fun, relaxed, and to allow you to ask any questions, either about books, or culture related.

I like to do homework! I will read your writing and send feedback after the lesson. I'll also prepare activities and worksheets to help you learn outside of the lesson as much as during the lesson.

The lessons will be a mixture of traditional teaching (grammar, phonetics, even school literature!), spiced with relevant, modern exercises that will allow you to assimilate North American culture.

You inform me on what you need to know, and I will design a lesson/course for you.

Buna ziua! Ma numesc Anca si sunt o profesoara cu 6 ani de experienta. Am trait si studiat in Romania timp de 8 ani. Sunt stapana atat pe gramatica, cat si pe literatura limbii romane, amandoua devenind mai frumoase cu cat le cunoastem mai bine.

Exerienta: 6 ani de predat studentilor intre varstele de 4 si 30 de ani diferite cursuri de stiinte, gramatica, sau fonetica pentru a-i ajuta sa isi inbunatateasca cunostiintele.

Am lucrat cu elevi ESL in a ii ajuta sa inteleaga materia prin exercitii, exemple, analogii, si conversatie.

Inainte de lectie, elevii mei sunt rugati sa completeze un formular pentru a ma informa in ceea ce stiu si ceea ce doresc sa invete pe parcursul lectiilor.

Fiecare lectie se bazeaza pe 2 obiective alese de elev si profesor. La sfarsitul lectiei elevul poate evalua singur daca a invatat ceea ce a dorit, asadar, daca lectia noasta a fost de succes.

Mereu imi pregatesc lectiile spre a fi relaxante, pline de informatii utile, interesante si bine structurate. Si eu imi fac temele atat inainte cat si dupa ora, pentru ca timpul petrecut cu studentul sa fie productiv.

In materialele folosite voi folosi metode traditionale pentru o usoara intelegere a gramaticii si sintaxei limbii romane, cat si discutii pe teme de actualitate si relevante.

In functie de obiectivele elevului, eu voi construi o lectie sau un curs de durata dorita, pentru a intalni aceste obiective.
