My name is Eri and I am a native Japanese teacher. Thank you for clicking on my profile.

I currently teach Japanese at a language school here in the UK, but I have also taught both Japanese and English in Japan. In addition, I have lived in Dubai, Amsterdam and Hong Kong and Adelaide.

I work 7 days a week and generally have around 70 time slots available per week, giving you a great deal of flexibility when choosing your lesson times.

As well as working in these cities, I have been lucky enough to have travelled to over 100 cities around the world.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy playing tennis, reading, cooking and shugei (Japanese sewing).

My teaching approach is based solely around what you want and what your expectations are.

I like to adopt a communicative approach which set clear, achievable goals for each lesson. Together we can choose topics, such as booking a flight, making small talk to foreign clients, shopping in Tokyo, TED etc. and base the lesson around these situations and what language, phrases, and structures you will need.

3. Perform our new language, making sure you are speaking for the majority of our time.

At the end of the lesson, I will give you a lot of positive feedback, and let you know what areas we can improve on. This way your Japanese, especially your fluency and accuracy, will improve quickly.
