I really enjoyed today's lesson. Joan, our teacher motivated us a lot and gave us valuable tips for further learning. A great personality, a very intelligent and highly professional teacher. We noticed that her priority is to put the student at ease. She tried to prioritize our passions, interests, and needs. The topic of the lesson was "Do we need Grammar". The lesson was rewarding, compelling, effective, and interesting. Many educators pass through our lives without remembrance. Yet, a special few will leave a lasting impression. Teaching must be a rewarding job for her because Joan always smiling, energetic, and ready to start a new day. Her charisma has given our students the strength to persevere.

I'm Joan, originally from Beijing. Living in UK. I'm passionate about teaching, and love languages. I have been teaching Mandarin as a foreign language over 20 years as well as HSK preparation, tutoring English as second language for many years. From the time when I was an university student working as inexperienced tutor, till present became an experienced lecturer and online teacher, I'm delighted to see hundreds of students from all different countries made huge progress in their Mandarin study and Chinese culture explore.
