Mariel has been polite, punctual and proficient. She agreed to modify my time with her to accommodate my specific needs - I have enjoyed talking to Mariel and look forward to at least several more sessions with her.

i had a great first lesson with Mariel! She is very prepared, explains very well, and has a really good learning technique, by giving you things to review on your own through Google Docs, that you talk about with her later.
Thanks so much!
Although I was always in love with the English language (and that's why I studied English translation), after my first trip to England, about 10 years ago I realized that my true passion was in my own language. Being a volunteer for an exchange program in Buenos Aires led me to teach Spanish so international students could communicate in Argentina. Since then, my career changed course. I started training myself to teach Spanish and my first classes began. Since my passion for travel could not rest, I started researching to teach online so I could take all of my students with me in my backpack. Every country and every city I've visited make me even more curious and eager to learn about my own culture.
For the last 4 years, I have been traveling around the world and, unlike what I believed, I feel more and more Argentinean. During my travels, many times I had to change country and language in a very short time, which made me realize how important it is to be immersed in the culture in order to learn more quickly. So, where has all of this led me? I've created my own techniques to teach you Argentine Spanish. Join my lessons so I can show you the essence of my country, the slang, and the local expressions.

Método de enseñanza
I use Google Drive and Zoom whiteboard to introduce texts, slides, pictures, flashcards, audios, or videos that we'll use during the lesson. I try to perform the lessons in a way as creative and fun as possible. I mention grammar through examples and exercises, trying to make you guess the rules. I have a special emphasis on vocabulary, repeating words, making you guess them, and trying to avoid direct translation. I create special resources to help you remember the vocabulary we've already studied, and for beginners I use a lot of repetition.
I like being very customized with my students, so I try to focus on your goals. If you want to travel, let's learn more about that and read travel articles. If you want to use Spanish for work, moving around a city as an expat, communicate with your couple... let's focus on that!
Note: The prices are for individual lessons for adults.
