Hello, I am Olga, and, as you have probably guessed by my name, I am Russian. Having graduated from one of the best universities in my country, I have lived in several countries, including US, and worked in different organisations and my work was always in one or another way connected with English and intercultural communication. English is my passion, so I think I am lucky I can work teaching it. I started to do so as a student, since then I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge and enjoy it ever more.

My free time is dedicated to the family, friends, travelling and reading. Apart from classical music I adore English detective stories – reading and watching them on TV. I tell my students: learn languages! Even if you cannot apply them now – you will discover new worlds and cultures, new knowledge and new experiences. The learning process will not allow your brains to deteriorate. Develop, learn!

I have been teaching English since studying at Saint-Petersburg State University - for more than 20 years (since 1990). I graduated from the Department of Philology, with major in English teaching, English studies and literature.

A couple of years ago I started to teach Russian as a foreign language, too, and now have students all over the world, teaching mostly online, and offline here in Denmark.

I taught English and Russian in different age groups: children, office managers, pensioners. I enjoy working with all the levels – absolute beginners or very advanced: it is a pure pleasure for me to help my students discover the classical harmony and the contemporary versatility of English - and the challenging complexity and beauty of Russian.

I have lived, worked and studied in St. Petersburg, New-York, Sweden and Denmark. In US I went to the City University of New York to study economics.

The most important for me is to find the true motivation and expectations of new students – based on them I apply individual methods.

I have many electronic textbooks and worksheets to share with my students. Depending on students' expectations and goals we choose the right material.

Меня зовут Ольга. Я преподаю английский со времени обучения в Санкт-Петербургском Государственном Университете (когда я поступала туда, он еще назывался ЛГУ), примерно с 1990 года.

Свободное время я посвящаю друзьям и путешествиям. Кроме классической мировой литературы люблю английские детективы – читаю и смотрю, конечно же, в оригинале😊.

Своим студентам я хочу сказать: учите языки! Даже если в жизни и работе они не пригодятся. Для вас откроются ноый мир, новые культуры, новые знания и впечатления. Процесс изучения нового языка не даёт мозгу атрофироваться. Развивайтесь, учитесь!

Закончила я филологический факультет ЛГУ (1996) , английское отделение, и получила специальность «филолог-германист, преподаватель английского языка и литературы». С тех пор я жила и работала (а также снова училась) в Петербурге, Нью-Йорке, Швеции и Дании, в разных фирмах и учреждениях, где, в частности, я преподавала английский язык в разных возрастных группах. Мне интересно работать со всеми уровнями – преподавать с нуля или практиковать сложные конструкции: работа с английским языком – радость, которую я хотела бы разделить с моими студентами, открыть вместе с ними классическую стройность и современную универсальность английского.

Работая со студентами, я прежде всего хочу понять их мотивацию и ожидания, исходя из этого я подбираю методику.
