Susan is an excellent teacher.
Her teaching approach is exactly what I require,
eg,to practice speaking french through conversation,
to learn new words and phrases, and to improve my
pronunciation.

We worked on articles combined with prepositions. We learned that articles are important in French because they specify masculine/feminine and singular/plural, since French doesn't pronounce the s at the end of most words. So now that we are including prepositions with nouns, the sentences are becoming complete. We continue to review weather and places to visit.

We worked on more advanced weather terms and Susan introduced places to visit in a city or village - types of stores, public buildings, parks and squares. We also talked about some terms that were particular to work that we were having done.

Susan introduced places to go shopping and words that you would use. We worked on fine tuning pronunciation. We did a quick review of things we have learned in previous lessons. It is beginning to sink in! :-)

Susan continues to be an excellent teacher for us. She is flexible, both in time (currently, there is a 5 hour time difference) but also in what she teaches us. She tailors the content to our life's needs. We are spending several months on our sailboat in the Caribbean, so what we need to learn may be different than people traveling to large cities or working. We can send her what we might like to learn, or be struggling with, ahead of a lesson, and she goes over it with us. She gives us tips, such as writing questions, greetings, or words on a card ahead of going to a restaurant or shopping, that might help us when we freeze up! We highly recommend Susan as a teacher!

Lehransatz
I believe that Modern Languages are important for communication and that a lesson should contain all four skills. I believe grammar and vocabulary are important. The lesson should be well structured, interesting and should have an element of fun. It is also necessary to use some traditional as well as modern methods of teaching such as role-plays, question and answer as well as ICT. Media also plays an important part especially television, video, radio, the internet and auditory stimulants. It is also good to use books, cartoons, rhymes, music, songs and poetry.
I adapt the class to the student and to what is required. No two classes are the same. I use the main language I am teaching: English, French or German to teach but when it is necessary will translate into the student's language if this is needed. As I speak several languages I have an ease to communicate in all European languages. I am also learning Chinese at present. I have also done two years of Russian. I speak some Japanese too. This helps the student whether it be a beginner, a child or an adult.
I have extensive experience of teaching groups of up to 30 in the classroom. This has helped to keep my online classes alive as I frequently will change material during the lesson to keep the student motivated. I set homework and mark it outside the lesson. I always go through mistakes and where necessary will practise any grammar content. I am used to using a virtual white board as well as sharing screens. I have a vast amount of experience with all ages and conform to the students' needs. I have a large amount of patience and have taught to date many different nationalities. This is important as different cultures learn in various ways. To date I have taught students from every continent in the world.
