I have just moved here from Australia, where I lived six years (2012 – 2018) and where I worked as a Spanish teacher at two different language schools, and as a freelance Spanish and English at my own online school.

In most cases, my classes focus on learning through SPEAKING (a lot!), but clearly, that depends on each student’s goals and interests, as these are lessons tailored just for you. Grammar, vocabulary, and listening-comprehension skills are mainly learnt through conversation. We will only take around 10 minutes of our lesson to explain the grammar topic and we will dedicate the rest of the class to communication and conversation activities on that topic. The student will constantly practice and improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, through writing tasks (assigned for homework), conversation, reading-comprehension tasks, personal story-telling, and many other online resources.

Do I assign homework? I generally do, as long as you have the time to do it. Homework is useful in preventing you from forgetting all we have learnt from one class to the other :) My classes are fun and relaxed. The student will get the class book on pdf. format and we will also be using other web resources.

The lessons are designed according to the student’s goals and interests. For that reason, on our free initial session the student will specify why they want to study the language: travelling, work, hobby, English or Spanish speaking partner?

En mis clases predomina la conversación. La gramática, el vocabulario y la destreza auditiva se aprenden especialmente a través de la conversación. La explicación de los temas gramaticales toma solo 10 minutos aproximadamente y dedicamos el resto de la clase a actividades de comunicación y conversación. La clase será diseñada sobre la base de los objetivos e intereses del estudiante. Por eso, en una primera entrevista gratuita el estudiante dejará en claro por qué quiere estudiar español: ¿viajar, trabajar, hobby, pareja de habla hispana o inglesa? Eso determinará el formato y el contenido de las clases. Las clases se caracterizan por ser divertidas y relajadas. El libro de texto se entrega en formato pdf.
