This is Suping. It is nice to meet you here and I'm glad that you are interested in Chinese.

I was born in China and moved to the United States in 2002. I have worked as an adjunct Chinese instructor at the Pennsylvania State University (Harrisburg) and some colleges between February 2013 and August 2017. I have been teaching Chinese courses at a local high school since August 2014. Previously, I taught at one of the top universities in China for 5 years. During these years, I had the opportunity to participate in international educational trips to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Macao. Those educational trips helped me acquire a better understanding of different cultures.

As a Chinese teacher, I would like to do my best to teach and support your studies. Of course, I would like to help you to explore the Chinese culture as well.

Teaching is not only a career for me but a passion.

I hold a Master Degree in American Studies from the Pennsylvania State University in the U.S. My bachelor degree is in Music Education from Huazhong Normal University in China. I have been teaching at different schools in the U.S since 2007. My students' age ranges are from 4 to 57. Along with my strong educational background and extensive teaching experience, my great personalities makes me a successful teacher as well.

Besides the classroom teaching, I also have an extensive knowledge of Chinese culture. I have organized and performed in two Chinese musical concerts in 2015 and 2016. I have also performed for many local communities and organizations since 2009.

I am very aware of the importance of a good instructor for learning a foreign language based on my own experience of learning English. I have enjoyed teaching college students, high school students, adults, and preschool children in the U.S. I love the charm of the Chinese language and culture. Teaching Chinese in the US has been a labor of love for me and I know I will provide a fun and enriching educational experience for my students at Verbalplanet.

我是陈老师！我是一个土生土长的中国人。来美国之前在中国拿到了学士学位和完成了研究生的课程。本科毕业后,在大学的行政和教书岗位工作了五年。

到美国后，我在宾州州立大学攻读了美国研究的硕士学位，并顺利拿到了硕士学位。除了学习以外，还先后在幼儿园，高中和一些大学教学。

我喜欢教师这个职业，自认为自己是位非常不错的老师。这些年的教学历程不但让我积累了丰富的教学经验，更让我坚定了我最初的职业选择：不但要以学到老的上进心去时刻激励自己，更要把自己的所长教给更多喜欢学习和了解中文、中国文化的人。

作为一位华中师范大学的毕业生，我在中国的时候是有教师资格证的。

在美国，我有着超过十年的教学经验。我曾经在宾州州立大学的哈里斯堡分校等几所大学专职教授不同年级的中文。另外，过去的几年我一直兼职在当地的一所高中教中文。

课堂以外，我还参与了当地中文学校的教学。这些年曾教过年龄跨度从4岁的小孩子到50多岁的成人的各个年龄段的学生。

寓教于乐，因材施教，学以致用。善于根据学生的实际情况，有针对性的指导和教学。让学生在最短的时间内达到自己预期的学习目标。
