**I'm back after a break from teaching and now ready to meet new students**

Hi! My name is Becky and I live in a beautiful village on the West Coast of Scotland. I have been teaching most of my life - right from leaving school ... and I love it! I am patient, a good listener and enthusiastic. I am a responsible teacher who turns up to lessons on time and cares about your progress.

When I'm not teaching, I like to watch movies, play sports and volunteer in my local community. For a number of years I've been a volunteer befriender and in this role I meet with a lovely older lady who has had a stroke and unable to move or speak. Also, I now have two children who teach me so much!

As an English teacher I am most experienced working with YOUNG LEARNERS and adult learners looking for a CONVERSATIONAL lesson where you can practice your speaking, learn new vocabulary and advance your fluency. However I'm also happy to accept students looking for other types of lessons and special requests. Please just send a message first!

In my adult learners Conversational Based lessons I love to prepare topics around real-life issues (science, environment, psychology etc etc!) and prepare activities that will help you use English in practical real world situations (e.g. English for your holiday, improving your conversation with others, developing your speaking and how to do small talk). You are also welcome to come and speak about whatever you would like to talk about.

My lessons for Young Learners are colourful and full of speaking activities, exercises and games.

I achieved a PASS A result in the CELTA Teaching Qualification - the highest grade. Since then, I have had 6 years teaching experience teaching English privately in person and online to students all over the world. I have taught students in person in Budapest, Nigeria and the UK, and have taught students online in China, Spain, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Germany.... and many more places.

I am also a qualified secondary school teacher and so have been trained in many of the best teaching methods. I am qualified to teach in schools in both England and Scotland. I have a PGCE from Bristol University and have two years experience teaching teenagers. I know that being smart isn't the only requirement of a good teacher, it's about being friendly, approachable, and listening to the students needs and desires.

I have experience teaching English to children from the age of 9 and have also had the great privilege of working with older retired adults. In the UK, I have worked with several universities helping students who have learning difficulties prepare and structure essays and dissertations. This has involved helping with sentence structure, proof reading and spelling.

I like to use all of the latest technology for teaching English online. This means I purchase the latest software to help you learn English faster and more effectively.

My classes are fully interactive which means we won't just be texting through skype or writing notes on google documents. In my class you will be able to access an online interactive board where you will see pictures, discussion questions, matching activities and games. It's a flexible board where we can write notes to each other and pan and zoom to see vocabulary and previous tasks.  Language learning can be a long process and my goal is to make your journey to fluency just as fun and valuable as the end result.
