Hello! My name is Tami. I am a South African currently living abroad in Vietnam. I love to travel, meet new people, and experience cultures different from my own. I have also lived and taught in Italy as well as traveled to various countries around Europe. My other interests include reading, philosophy, music, cooking and hiking. I am also an animal lover.

I hold a BA Degree majoring in Linguistics and Applied English from Stellenbosch University. I have also completed a 150 hour TEFL certificate. I have 2.5 years online teaching experience to students of all ages (4 - adults). I also have a further 9 months experience of classroom teaching to students of all ages. My experience includes kids English, travel English, English for study or work purposes and general conversation English and exam preparation.

My approach to teaching is to create a safe and comfortable learning environment for my students. I am very patient because, having traveled, I understand how difficult it can be to learn a new language. I want to help my students have the confidence to use English and to understand that it is okay to make mistakes. Mistakes are only opportunities to learn and grow.
