Hi! I'm Emma, an English teacher from Ireland. I have taught ESL for over 5 years, including general English, business English, IELTS, TOEFL, and Cambridge. From 7-year-old children to adult doctors, I have taught students from a variety of backgrounds and with a variety of needs.

On a personal level, I am hugely passionate about travelling and meeting new people. I've lived abroad in both Greece and Chile and so am aware of the challenges of language learning. Having taught hundreds of students over the years, and attended language schools myself (Spanish), I know what works and what doesn't.

I take the communicative approach to English learning. My classes are based on acquiring and practicing useful language you will encounter in real-life situations.

I've taught English for many years, (and struggled to learn Spanish for some years too), so I know how important it is to avoid time-wasting. If you take a class with me I will analyse your level of English (strengths, weaknesses, and requirements), and craft lesson plans with you in mind. A class with me is fun and engaging, but most of all useful! Together we can create achievable goals that I will help you meet.
