Hello!

My name is Jane and I've been an online English teacher since 2011!

Some of the reasons as to why I chose this path are my love for travel, meeting people, learning new cultures, and having some freedom and control over my work.

By being an online English teacher, I was able to travel to some parts of Southeast and East Asia for the past six years.

There's still much of the world left for me to explore, more to learn, more people to meet, and hopefully more for me to share and teach by doing this job.

Based on my own experience, I truly believe that either teaching or learning a language online could be a really efficient, fun, and interesting method.

I have been teaching English online since year 2011, and have also completed a 120-hour intensive TESOL professional course.

I've taught people of various ages and proficiency, and have had the experience to help with different skill aspects including conversation practice, grammar, vocabulary, email writing, business English, exam preparation, as well as interview preparation.

Aside from my teaching experience, I've also went through an intensive language study course in Beijing. This experience helps me to be empathetic towards the feelings of language learners.

I believe my experience as both a teacher and student of languages, as well as my love for travel, culture, and people, give me an edge as as online English teacher.

My approach to teaching is very individualized, depending on what each learner wants and needs from their classes.

I try to tackle every aspect that a student could improve on, including pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and so on. But I truly believe that learning is not dependent on the teacher and that the student must do their fair share of absorbing what is learnt. In order to make this task an easier process for the learner, I try my best to make my classes fun and upbeat, yet also relevant and informative.

I genuinely care about what my students learn from my classes, as well as the friendships and bonds I form with them.

Online classes are done via Skype call. A video call/web camera is not necessary. I can suggest books / materials / class content, depending on your language level and what you need to improve on. But you can also let me know what skills you want to learn or focus on.
