My name is Olexandra Lioubvina and I have been an English teacher for more than 30 years since I graduated from Kiev Teachers' Training College in 1991. I have a CELTA Certificate (Grade B) and a CAE Diploma (Grade C). During my career I used to work as a secondary school English teacher and as an English trainer, I also worked for The London School of English where I taught a whole variety of ages, programmes, books and levels, developed and delivered new courses and was enrolled in Pearson and FCE/CAE examinations as an official Cambridge examiner. At the same time I had a blog page for colleagues where I shared my considerable experience and encouraged novices by giving advice as to troublesome areas. Throughout these years, I never stopped giving one-to-one private lessons as well as exploring and learning new methods of teaching.

Nowadays teaching online seems to be the most popular and beneficial for both - students and tutors. I started teaching via Skype in 2017 and I have really enjoyed it ever since. Each student of mine can count on a tailor-made programme, responsibility, substantial knowledge, open-mind attitude and great sense of humour of the teacher.

My teaching method is based on the Communicative Approach although it has evolved into a sort of Synergistic Approach which includes all productive methods. This ensures student satisfaction, lessons suited to learning styles and aids in achieving goals.

My teaching experience allows me to recognise learning styles almost instantly and select the most effective teaching 'tools' that can guarantee results. I aim at learners' autonomy for I believe there is nothing more efficient in language learning than exploring and experimenting with the language on your own. The latter is possible only if you really are motivated and interested in the subject that you learn. Therefore, I see my main role as a teacher is to develop such zest for language learning in my students.
