Über mich - Englisch
Hello everyone, nice to meet you! My name is Chris and I'm a 29 year old American living in the eastern United States. My interests include: anime, manga, video games, studying foreign languages, and traveling. I love learning about different languages and cultures, I've been to Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan. I'm currently trying to master Japanese and have been studying it for about eight years now but I still have so much left to learn! I can speak Japanese conversationally and am trying to eventually get it to a professional level. If possible, I'd like to move into a career where I can utilize my language ability so I'm working hard towards that goal. I'm a patient person and a good listener. Each person has their own story to tell and I'm very interested in hearing yours! I'm serious when I need to be but I love to laugh and joke around as well. Lehransatz
My teaching approach would differ depending on the student's needs. First, I would need to identify the student's level of English so that I could appropriately tailor lessons within that framework. If a student wanted to focus on reading comprehension, they could pick a topic they're interested in and we could try to find material to read on the topic. Then we could engage in discussion about what they've just read. As for conversation, we could pick a theme or common scenario and build a simple dialogue from there. Highlighting keywords used in said situation could be the focus of a lesson. This would allow the student to slowly build their vocabulary and give them a bit more confidence in their speaking ability. I'm very open to ideas if the student has a certain way that they like to learn best.
