Hi! I love teaching and would love to help spread the love of language around the world! I graduated university with a degree in English linguistics and literature. I have been teaching since 1994 and have found interesting and creative ways to do it. I have a love for history and travel and have learned to combine these two interests with teaching. I have created material and led historic tours, I have taught classes for small children and I taught English as a second language to adults in Algeria. In addition to teaching ESL and history, I have taught beauty class, medical formation and religious folklore. I find teaching very enjoyable and am filled with great satisfaction when my students have accomplished their goals. Learning can be fun and exciting and it is my goal to provide an atmosphere that makes my classes fun and stimulating.

Just as people have different styles of teaching, students have different ways of learning. Some people learn by repetition, some by sight and others by sound or association. I feel it is important to determine the student’s learning style and accommodate it. With language, many presentations can be helpful. Word associations, pictures, props and use of gestures or similar sounds can assist a student in replications and retaining word and phrases. Patience and kindness are usually the two keys frequently used in teaching with positive results.
