I believe that a natural and fun approach is the best long term way to learn and retain your language proficiency. Natural conversations are where real life takes place, and is the same way we learn our mother tongue as well. Hearing, using and saying it correctly from the beginning is the fastest way to learn without having to overcome having learned it incorrectly.
