My name is Neville Wilson, I am from the island of Jamaica in the West indies. The country of Reggae and long sandy beaches.
I own a small construction company in Montego Bay. I've been in the business from I was a boy with my grandfather and my dad.
Teaching is my next passion, I love to teach and meet people to share experiences and ideas or just for conversation. I have been an English coach for a while now. My wife had introduced me to online teaching and for some reason i am hooked. I tend to be more excited than I should be and at times do more in teaching exercise than required.
Certificaciones y experiencia
I have been teaching/coaching English for over a year now. I am currently taking my TEFL certification to make myself more marketable in the EFL/ESL field.
I have taught students mostly from Asian countries like China, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Korea. Most of my students belong to the working class. Some of them are currently attending college.
Método de enseñanza
For my first time students, I usually assess their English level, needs and goals. I will then prepare an appropriate course based on their level, needs and goals.
Some of the approaches I use in teaching English are: Reading Approach, Audiolingual Method and Communicative Approach
I understand how most of my students feel: trying to have a conversation with someone in English but too afraid to express themselves because of doubts. Rest assured we will master the English language by any means.
Just remember, English is your second language, so don't be afraid to ask questions and explore new words. That's why I'm here.
