I have special experience coaching flight attendants throughout the intense and competitive interview process that comes with that industry.

I opened a private English academy in Seoul, South Korea. This is one of the most competitive industries in the country and I understand how the industry and business works, and the needs of the students and their families.

In addition to teaching Adult and Business English at the oldest private English academy in South Korea, I taught at one of the most well-known and prestigious private elementary schools in the country as well.

I was the private English teacher for the Editor of a large newspapers in Seoul.

I also have basic Spanish speaking ability, and have worked as an English language coach for Spanish native speakers.

My language teaching is augmented by acting training, writing and storytelling ability, business endeavors, marketing, and understanding of human interaction.

My teaching approach is simple, clear, and focused on practical use of English. Personally, I want huge results from a minimal amount of effort, so I extend that mindset into my students. My goal as a teacher is to eliminate my students' need for me as soon as possible. This means I want to give my students the ability to get what they want, as fast as possible, so they no longer need me. There are specific ways that the human brain processes information and learns, and by understanding and utilizing this knowledge, we can have massive results that are often far above what is considered normal. Because I can get significant results from my students, I put all my focus on people who are serious about learning.

When speaking English, it is often more important to UNDERSTAND and FEEL the rhythm and tone of what is being said, than it is to be perfectly accurate with each word. Understanding English from a native speaker's perspective is essential to communicating effectively in English, so I also teach my students to adopt the "mentality of English". In English, we can say the same thing many different ways, and a lot of words are often being squeezed into each breath. Knowing this, I help my students develop their conceptual understanding of English, so they can understand slang and inflection, and hear when words and sentences are being dropped or blended together. This way, my students can learn to hear, feel, and use the rise and fall of natural speech patterns- which allows them to use less energy when speaking English, and have a much better understanding of language.

All of my focus while teaching is on getting practical results for my students. It's about HAVING COMMAND of the English language.

I help people become more fluent in English. I specialize in pronunciation, language flow/pattern/inflection, and advanced and near-native conversation. I often teach privately through book study and discussion groups- these are some areas where my abilities can have the most benefit for my students. Most of my students are high achievers, international business people, ESL teachers, and flight attendants. I often train students for short, intense periods of time in preparation for projects, tests, or interviews. Most of my students achieve what they are going for and move on with their goals. My long-term students are usually English instructors.
