Joanna is a great tutor. Her lessons are the perfect mix of grammar, vocabulary and conversation and always enjoyable and helpful.

Acerca de mí - Inglés
My name is Joanna. I'm originally from London. I passed my TEFL qualification in Prague and I taught English face to face in the east of the country until 2015. Helping students prepare for the Cambridge Preliminary, First and Advanced exams. I also taught in companies and helped students with business travel preparations and giving presentations.
I am now a digital nomad. Meaning that I teach 100% online. Since then I have lived in the Czech Republic, Malta, the UK and Sicily. It has been a great adventure exploring countries and teaching at the same time. It's amazing to be able to work from anywhere.
I have been learning Czech for years and so I totally understand the problems you have learning an extra language. I understand the need for structure in a lesson, but I also the need to practice what you have just learnt. I was amazed at how fast my language improved when I practised regularly with a native speaker.
I worked in retail for many years, then I moved to the electronics manufacturing industry. While working for a company in the UK I got the chance to move to the Czech Republic. I never looked back!

I have years of retail experience. Dealing with money and customer orders. I also organised staff rotas.
I have over 10 years experience working in a production environment. I started as a semi skilled assembler and moved up through stock control, supervising, into the computer systems. I became well versed in SQL and maintained the customer CRM.
I passed my 120 hour TEFL course in Prague in 2011 and have been teaching full time ever since
I am now studying for a Bachelors degree in IT and Business Communications.

I have taught one to one lessons and groups of students from many backgrounds and of all ages. I can help you prepare for your Preliminary, First and Advanced Cambridge exams.
We can concentrate on Business English. I can advise you on creating a CV and handling difficult job interviews and how to deal with business correspondence.
We can concentrate on everyday English. For example, how to rent a flat. How to complain at a hotel when your room is not suitable, and how to deal with medical problems or getting directions when lost in a new city.
