Hi there!
My name is Hugo, I am originally from Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, and I am currently living in Vienna - Austria.
As a native speaker, having done a teaching training course, and with teaching experience, I am able to teach spoken and written Portuguese to a high standard (including for legal purposes). Moreover, having studied and lived in the UK for a while allows me to also teach English.
I'm a very energetic and enthusiastic person, so whatever your goals and objectives are with these wonderful languages, rest assured you'll have a dedicated teacher to create a tailored learning plan to meet your needs.

Teaching methods of Portuguese as a foreign language
Experience:
From Oct. 2013 to Oct. 2014, I worked as a teaching assistant within the Portuguese and Literature Department of a high school/college in Rio de Janeiro. This teaching and assisting position required good management and organizational skills. Working with the students was a fulfilling experience that allowed me to develop an emphatic approach to individual and group objectives.
From Feb. 2017 to May. 2017, while living in Portugal and doing my postgraduate course, I signed up to teach languages (Portuguese and English) in a voluntary program named "Speak". This brilliant idea allowed students who had a tight budget to still be able to study languages, for free, in a serious and well-organized and structured educational environment.
Moreover, throughout my 5-year Law degree in Rio, I had one-to-one tutoring with students who were seeking help with English or just wanted to have conversation lessons to practice their language skills. Also, before recently moving to Austria, I was teaching Portuguese in the UK for students with very distinct goals, such as passing A-Level Portuguese exams and preparing to travel to Brazil.
