My name is Rafah. I'm originally from Syria and Arabic is my native language. I have worked as an Arabic teacher for 12 years - 7 working with students face-to-face and five working with students on the internet. I have traveled extensively and interacted with people from many different cultures.

After more than 2000 lessons given over the internet to people from many different countries, I can say with confidence that I have gained significant expertise working with people from all different nationalities and backgrounds.

Received a degree in Arabic Language Literature from the University of Aleppo

I worked at the Institute of Sharia as a teacher of Arabic language for non-Arabs for five years, and three years at the Hafiz Institute as a teacher of the Arabic language for grades. I completed a training course at Cairo University on teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language. I finally got the Career Certificate in teaching Arabic as a foreign language (CCTAFL) from the American University in Cairo.

I have done around 3000 online lessons teaching Arabic for none Arabic students.

As an instructor, I am keen on making sure that students are comfortable and design customized lessons based on the level of the student. After an initial lesson, I am usually able to gain a sense of a student's needs and select appropriate teaching materials. If a student desires, I am also able to record the lessons and provide audio or video files they can use to study from afterwards.

Some of the lessons I use materials that I have specially written and some of the lessons I rely on existing books. I also use popular Syrian television series' in my courses on Levantine dialect. I have found from previous experiences that this method is very effective - in addition to varied conversation practice on a variety of topics.

حصلت على بكالوريوس في آداب اللغة العربية من جامعة حلب، عملت في تعليم اللغة العربية لغير العرب في معهد شرعي مدة خمس سنوات، وسنتين في تعليم اللغة العربية لأبنائها، ثمّ حصلت على دورة تدريبية في إعداد معلّم لتعليم اللغة العربية لغير العرب في جامعة القاهرة، وحصلت على الشهادة الوظيفية في تعليم اللغة العربية كلغة أجنبية لغير العرب من الجامعة الأميركية في القاهرة، عملت في تعليم اللغة العربية عن طريق الأنترنت لمدة خمس سنوات ، بعد تقديم ما يقارب على 3000 درس أستطيع أن أقول بثقة أني اكتسبت خبرة كبيرة وثقافة واسعة؟

أنا حريصة على أن تكون دروسي تنناسب مع مستوى الدارس وذلك بعد درس تجريبي أستطيع من خلاله تحديد مستوى الدارس واختيار المواد التعليمية التي تتناسب مع مستواه واحتياجاته، يستطيع الدراس تسجيل الدرس ليتمكن من الاستماع إليه لاحقا .

أقوم بكتابة بعض الدروس وبعضها أعتمد على المناهج المتوفرة لتعليم العربية لغير العرب ،كما أنني استخدام المسلسلات التلفزيونية السورية في تعليم العاميّة السورية، فقد وجدت من خلال تجاربي السابقة أن هذا الأسلوب فعال جدا، بالإضافة إلى
