Looking for an English Immersion Teacher? Look no further! I understand what it is like to be thrown into a completely different language and culture. During a part of my childhood, my family relocated to a foreign country very abruptly. I had no knowledge of the culture or language. It was intimidating at first and I was very nervous because people living there made fun of my accent. I want you to know that you don't have to be nervous with me. Your questions are always valid and no question is too simple or complex. So don't be afraid! I want to make this a fun and engaging experience. If you are feeling nervous or out of place just remember that I will never think badly of you for attempting to learn English and I understand the struggle! Be proud of yourself for taking this step and remember that anyone who mocks you probably isn't bilingual.

I'm a native English speaker who was born in Ontario, Canada. I have a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts. I'm a qualified teacher and member of the Ontario College of Teachers. I have experience teaching kindergarten, grade one, grade two, and grade four. I have tutored children from kindergarten to grade eight and university students in the English language.

I strongly believe in learning through Immersion. It's the best way to truly master a language. I am flexible with my lesson plans and willing to make appropriate accommodations based on individual needs. I'm eager to incorporate student interests while ensuring that language requirements are met in accordance with the curriculum. Accent reduction, grammar, writing skills, oral presentations, assistance with homework, reading/comprehension are all areas I am willing to work on with you. I can also teach you about culture and dialect if desired. Watching movies, engaging in conversation, writing on topics of interest, playing interactive games, and taking virtual tours/field trips in Canada or viewing images of cultural significance are all activities that we can incorporate if desired.
