I am a Portuguese and English teacher and I live in Brazil right now. I also had the opportunity to live four months in Argentina and four years in the USA. These experiences helped me to understand and deal with different cultures because, in both countries, I had contact with people from many countries.

As a teacher I think it is important to know about language acquisition and teaching methods, but it is also very important to understand the students´ cultures. I like to teach and I try to make my students feel comfortable to learn, speak and ask questions. I am very patient to explain the subjects as much as necessary. I am positive, optimist, creative, responsible and have a good sense of humor. These things are very important to provide to the students so they can feel more confident about themselves and that they are able to learn a language. The sense of humor can be used to make the classes more relaxed without losing the focus. When I was at IBM Brazil I had the opportunity to work as the innovation focal point, which helped me to improve my innovative ability as well. What I am looking for now is an environment where I can teach and have a positive impact on students´ ability to learn a language.
