My teaching method is mostly conversational and student-centered. As a teacher, I try to step aside and give students the opportunity to play the main role in class. Also, I get students to work on all four language skills, so they can progress steadily in every area.

Secondly, I am extremely keen on languages and literature, and I have always cherished my studies in world languages (I studied English, French and Modern Greek). Being a language learner myself, I feel I can understand and anticipate the difficulties that the students might face. I put much emphasis on good lesson planning and pacing, combined with creative strategies to engage students in the class. This constant interest has allowed me to become familiar with techniques and tools that are essential in today’s second language learning. I have good people skills, and motivating the students is something that comes easy to me.

I am familiar with techniques and tools that are essential in today’s second language learning, such as the materials used by the Cervantes Institute and the most renowned publications and blogs in the field of language teaching. Most particularly, I have made extensive use of audiovisuals and creative writing activities in order to develop consistent, effective Spanish courses.

As an on-line teacher, I have steadily used different technology applications in language learning (Skype, Google Drive, various apps, blogs &, ELE websites).

Licenciado en Filología Hispánica y Máster en Lengua Francesa Aplicada, en los últimos años he compaginado mi trabajo como profesor de idiomas con mi labor de traductor. Como profesor, he diseñado e impartido cursos intensivos de español para todos los niveles, tanto presenciales como a través de Skype.

Al mismo tiempo, he seguido estudiando lenguas y formándome como profesor. En este sentido, acabo de completar un curso CELTA para profesores de inglés.

Mi método es principalmente comunicativo y centrado en los estudiantes. Al ser yo mismo estudiante de lenguas, creo que sé anticipar las dificultades que los alumnos puedan encontrar.

En segundo lugar, poseo una amplia formación teórica en el campo de la lingüística aplicada, la traducción y la literatura. Asimismo, conozco los mejores materiales didácticos en la enseñanza de español e inglés, como los utilizados por el Instituto Cervantes.

Finalmente, doy mucha importancia a la buena secuenciación y a la variedad de tareas (hablar, escuchar, leer y escribir). Además, en mis clases utilizo abundante material audiovisual (especialmente cortometrajes) y actividades complementarias, como juegos y role-playing.
